Shogran is a beautiful hill station located at a height of 2,362M in Kaghan Valley in Mansehra District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is approximately 34 kilometres from Balakot via Kawai. The valley is surrounded by thick pine trees and snow-covered peaks that give us a spectacular view. It is open for visitors in both seasons, in summers the weather is mild and pleasant and during winters the valley is covered with heavy snow.
Day 1: Islamabad – Shogran (via Kiwai)
Departure from Islamabad: Morning (recommended by 8:00 AM)
Route: Drive via Hazara Motorway towards Kiwai (approx. 4 hours)
Stopovers en route:
Balakot – short scenic break
Kiwai Waterfall – refreshing natural stop
From Kiwai, ascend to Shogran (20-minute drive via jeep or car depending on road conditions)
Enjoy the cool pine-scented breeze and panoramic views of Shogran Meadows
Overnight Stay: Shogran
Day 2: Excursion to Siri Paye Meadows
Early morning departure for Siri Paye Meadows via 4x4 jeep (approx. 45 minutes one way)
Spend 2–3 hours exploring the stunning meadows with views of Makra Peak and surrounding mountains
Optional activities: light hiking, photography, or simply relax amidst alpine scenery
Return to Shogran by afternoon
Leisure time in the evening
Overnight Stay: Shogran
Day 3: Shogran – Islamabad
After breakfast, check out and depart for Islamabad
Drive Time: Approx. 4 hours
Optional stopovers can be made at Kiwai, Balakot, or Mansehra
